Phil is a life long resident of the Green Bay area. Growing up on a farm in northern Brown County, a strong work ethic is second nature. Starting with a paper route at the age of 12, Phil has always had the entrepreneurial spirit. This hard work coupled with a great business philosophy gives him a lot of respect for his customers hard earned money. Phil graduated from St. Norbert College then worked for a $1 billion company managing national, multi-million dollar projects. After marriage, he decided it was time to get off the road. While still working an inside management position, he started his business working weekends and evenings. Green Bay Roofing was born and within a couple of years he went full-time on his own.
By 1999, Phil became a fully licensed building contractor. He enjoyed success in many new construction builds, but ultimately found the challenge of working with existing homes and businesses far more exciting. He began operating as The Remodel Shop in 2004. Phil has had many opportunities to grow as a business but finds he likes staying small and still enjoys time as a working owner on the job site.
